Habitat Stewards of Overlook Park

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Register to volunteer with Habitat Stewards of Overlook Park (HSOP) to manually remove non-native invasive (NNI) vines like English Ivy and other invasive plants that are harming the trees and habitat in Overlook Park at 1300 Overbrook Road. We will meet every Wednesday 2:00-4:00 pm beginning 2/25/26 through June. Every session begins with a brief meeting at 2:00 pm at the lower park parking lot to discuss the work for the day and provide a brief training on NNI plant ID and removal techniques. Bringing your own gloves and tools, such as hand pruners and loppers, is suggested, but some will be available to borrow. The group is sponsored by the Idlewylde Community Association Greening Committee and the Green Towson Alliance and is led by Adreon Hubbard, a certified Baltimore City and County Weed Warrior and Maryland Master Naturalist. Contact Adreon at hubbardesol@gmail.com for more information or just register--Adreon will receive a notification when you do. Our efforts are making a difference. Thank you!
