Q: Refund Policy

The last day for refund requests is December 8th. Please note that unfortunately, refunds for rescheduled trips are not possible. This program is completely dependent upon weather conditions which are out of our control so your flexibility and understanding with regards to rescheduled trips, which need to be worked out with bus companies who have limited bus availability and school schedules, is greatly appreciated. Please know that we make every attempt to move forward with the scheduled trips as long as the resort is open and a sufficient number of trails are open to accommodate our large groups, and other groups in attendance.

Ski Club registration will open October 1st. This will secure your seat on the bus.

**IMPORTANT** All TRC Ski Club communication will be sent via TeamSnap to the email you use when you register so be sure to register with an email that is checked regularly!

Ski Club registration will close on November 1st.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Coach buses depart after school (Meadowood Park site departs at 3:40 pm) and return at 10:30 p.m.; trips are held on Fridays unless otherwise noted.

Make-ups due to weather may take place on Thursdays, Fridays or Sundays depending on bus availability.

Private school sites are limited to students who attend those schools.

Students from any school are welcome on the Meadowood, Dumbarton or Towson High pick-up sites, provided they can arrive by the scheduled departure time.

Participants must register through TRC for the bus transportation and must purchase an Epic Ski Pass.

Participants must secure their own ski equipment (through purchase or rental; see links to resources under 'COST' section)

Lessons are not included; it is recommended that students participate in a lesson(s) at the resort prior to joining the ski club.

Site-specific information and additional details will be provided via email in December.

REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS

While this program is open to beginners, it is recommended that first-time skiers be accompanied by a parent or more experienced friend on their first trip; or visit the resort at least once prior to ski club start on your own to get a lay of the land.

Your child should be independent in renting equipment, carrying equipment, riding the lift, and skiing/boarding. Parents should understand that students are not supervised directly while on the slopes or in the ski lodge. Ski patrol will contact TRC chaperones in the event of a medical concern, at which point chaperones will contact parents as necessary.

Students must adhere to departure times, manage their behavior on the bus and at the resort and be willing to approach adult chaperones to ask for assistance when needed. Ski club participants are expected to follow the same behavioral guidelines as listed in their school student handbook. Violations may result in suspension from the club with no refunds. Please use your judgement if your child meets the criteria.

ONE TRIP OPTION! If you cannot participate in multiple trips, or just one to try out the ski club, join us for ONE TRIP ONLY on January 16th! Departs from Meadowood at 3:40 p.m. and travels to Liberty. Cost is $50. (limited spots available)

ALL-SCHOOL END-OF-SEASON TRIP will be offered on Sunday, March 1st or 8th, departing from and returning to Meadowood Park, and is open to anyone signed up for a 4 or 5 week program who was not able to attend all of their school's trips. Cost is free. More information to follow mid-season.

Fee #1: Transportation Cost (payable to TRC)

$230 for 5 trips

$185 for 4 trips (Maryvale and NDP)

$50 for the ONE TRIP ONLY on January 16 (departs to/from Meadowood Park at 3:40)

This secures your spot on the bus and covers roundtrip coach bus transportation, trip leader, and swag. To register for the bus, use the registration link at the top of this page (or sign up for the wait list, if registration has closed.)

Fee #2: Ski/Board Pass (purchase directly through Vail Resorts/Epic Pass website)

Ski packages vary. Compare and purchase your EPIC Ski Pass HERE.

Passes prices increase the longer you wait and typically SELL OUT by December so don't delay.

Note: we will not offer the Slope Days package this year.

Tip: The most economical choice for those who will likely not ski other than ski club dates is to purchase an Epic Day Pass (22 resorts option). These do sell out so don't delay!

Fee #3: Equipment (if you do not own)

Resources for season equipment rentals and purchases can be found below. You may also rent equipment on a per-trip basis through the appropriate resort website (Liberty or Roundtop), however it is less economical.

TRIP CANCELLATIONS

We typically follow Baltimore County Public Schools’ (BCPS) decisions regarding cancellations due to inclement weather.
In the event that BCPS is closed, implements an early dismissal or cancels afterschool and evening activities on a ski club Friday, we will typically cancel ski club. A make-up trip will be arranged.
Check your email EVERY trip day at 12:00 p.m. for trip updates. No email means trip is ON.
In addition to email communication, trip alerts are also posted on the TRC Ski Club website and Facebook . and via the TeamSnap app,
Lift Tickets and Rental purchases can be refunded up until noon on trip day. Call number on rentals email

SKI CLUB COMMUNICATIONS

**IMPORTANT** All TRC Ski Club communication will be sent via TeamSnap to the email you used when you registered your son or daughter. You may also receive additional communication directly from your school’s ski club liaison
- If you would like to change the email address for communications, you can do so within the settings tab of your TeamSnap account.
- You can also add other family members to your child's ski club roster/acct as well in the event you want others to receive communications as well (emails, team chats, etc) and see "team" information. (in this case, your child's "team" is the ski club site/school they signed up for)
- Download TeamSnap Android & iOS Apps | TeamSnap for additional alert notifications directly to your mobile.
- Check your junk/spam folder for a message from TeamSnap regarding your "team"
