TRC Travel Baseball: Overview

TRC Baseball's mission is to support and promote community-based baseball. The travel baseball program is designed and operated to complement and enhance the in-house baseball experience for a small group of more dedicated and skilled players. Therefore, with the exception of a limited number of  waivers available, TRC requires travel players to participate in the TRC in-house baseball program in addition to the travel program.

Tryouts are typically held in late September or early October for the spring/summer season.  Games begin in early April and run through mid-June.  Additionally, players may expect to play in additional tournaments throughout the season.  TRC travel teams have the option of playing in a fall season with rostering of teams carrying over from the spring. If necessary, teams will hold summer tryouts for openings that might arise on a given fall team if some players from the spring roster opt not to play in the fall.

All questions regarding TRC travel teams, schedules and policies should be directed to the Travel Coordinator (see bottom of this page).

Persons interested in starting a TRC Baseball-sponsored travel team must receive approval from the TRC Baseball Board and hold open tryouts. With limited field space and a mission that prioritizes community-based teams and programs, the TRC Baseball Board limits the number of travel teams that it will sponsor and support. Persons interested in joining the TRC Baseball travel program coaching staff must be approved by the travel coordinator and the TRC Baseball Board. For more information, please contact the Travel Coordinator.

TRC 13U Travel Team Success

Towson Tigers 13U (Mancina) came out strong at the Swing Into Spring Tournament (May 2–3), locking up the 1 seed with back-to-back wins and allowing only three runs on Saturday. They carried that momentum into Sunday with two more wins to reach their first championship game as a group, finishing as runner-up after a hard-fought final supported by standout pitching and contributions from all 14 players.
